Since her exhibitions and her creative
activities mainly take place in Europe, now
the one of her studio is placed in Verona,
Italy, and the other in Tokyo,Japan.

The material and Technique

Some of visitors to her exhibition often ask Yoko Okuyama,"Is this oil painting, or acrylic?"Actually, those paintings are not painted. She transforms the Kouzo -which is the raw-material of Japanese paper Washi- into her mysterious, delicate and in some respects, oriental pieces of art.
